A poor chap arrived today with his 2 week old Trek Emonda. He got side swiped by a scooter leaving his frame in separate pieces. Problem is the frame was not insured and he is never going to get a successful warranty claim. Normally this is a bin job but watch this blog for what it will look like in about 3-4 weeks time for a fraction of the cost of a new bike.
Multiple top tube fracture resulted in a complex restore of decals and multi coloured lines. The result is a slightly better finish then the original! I kid you not..
The winter season will only get busier as we are now reviewing deferred custom projects and complex restores as with the month of October.
Thanks again for entrusting us to do this fabulous work!
This months variations on a carbon theme:
The first pic shows a Bianchi fabricated carbon chainstay cable stop. Seems impossible to source replacements! The rest are general repairs and resprays. In the above cases these are all full restore requirements. I will post some examples of complimentary touch-ups to show the cost difference.
