Marek Homola joins us to take up the load and share his carbon fibre skills. Marek also brings much needed fabrication, decal and re-spray experience. My aim is to offer sensible, high quality re-spays that should satisfy most enquiries. Here you can see him laying up a Zipp tub and re-finishing a Cervelo S2 after a top tube repair.
These can be tricky if the insert has pulled the carbon surround with it. The Leggero is a thin frame and therefore it is a challenge to re-build a secure mount. None-the-less we got it done and out the door.
After searching hi and lo for a replacement chain guard I decided that they can’t be too hard to make. Any shape in fact. A 2 layered carbon sheet is cured on the frame and cut to shape so the profile fits exactly 🙂
UK potholes are good business. For once Kenya was responsible for this one! This carbon rim hit the hole of death. Turned out to be a mere concussion…Interesting footnote – this chap works with Froome’s mentor. They are building a national team against some trying odds. We donated the repair so they could buy much needed inner tubes. We are spoilt…
When a customer does not feel safe with a flimsy seat post design they come to us. ‘Can you beef it up and blend the area with the rest of the frame?’ No problem
It’s not just the repairs that should look neat but when a fracture occurs over a prime logo we can’t hand it back like that!
